Rockford's James Robinson Named Started Running Back For Jacksonville Jaguars

Rockford Lutheran High School alumni and graduate of Illinois State University James Robinson has been named the starting running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars by coach Doug Marrone. The decision came after Ryquell Armstead was placed on the Injured/Covid 19 reserve list. Robinson the high school superstar and undrafted rookie who averaged 21.9 carries and 123.3 yards rushing per game at Illinois State will start Sunday vs the Indianapolis Colts.

Robinson isn't the only undrafted college stand out from his hometown of Rockford, Illinois to play pro sports. Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet went from undrafted to NBA world champion. Fred was an underdog who showed his true colors over the last couple of seasons and emerged as a NBA basketball warrior who can hang with the best the league has to offer. This will be exciting for the #815 and hopefully provide inspiration to the many talented high school athletes from the Rockford area. This is really exciting as well for Rockford Lutheran High School (a school that I myself graduated from), a school with just a little over 300 students to now say that they have an alumni who plays for a NFL team.
