Anthony "Nino" Cruz, is a Hip Hop artist, hooper, hustler & avid skateboarder who was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. Nino grew up playing soccer and basketball before taking in the love of writing and recording music at the age of 15. The first few years Nino spent his time trying out different rap styles and cadences, using different rhythms and tempos until finding a sound & delivery that worked for him.
At 19, Nino opened up for Snoop Dogg in front of a minor league baseball stadium sized crowd, he had brought out dozens of his own friends and local fans and even got some pub from the local media.
Soon after that, Nino starting making moves around town, recording with different artists and performing at local art galleries and venues before being noticed by entertainment executive and artist manager C. Hare of Borgata, owner of 662online.com.
C. Hare immediately put Nino on stage opening for mega Indy rapper Dax in Chicago & Los Angeles, as well as shows with Mod Sun & RiFF RAFF in Madison. The "pandemic" put a few things on hold but by the end of 2021 & rolling into 2022, Nino started to hit the road again with Chris Webby, Dizzy Wright, Dave East, Blake Banks and others in the Rockford, Iowa City, Chicago Suburbs & Madison Markets.
