Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – Lindsay Lohan is now officially on board the Gotti flick, but not as the mob boss’ daughter Victoria Gotti as speculated. The recovering addict will now be playing the daughter-in-law, Kim Gotti, instead in “Gotti: Three Generations.”
Lindsay has been rumored to play Victoria, former reality TV star and daughter of the late mafia boss John Gotti. But even after attending an event for the film in a similar hairdo as Victoria, her deal with the film ended.
Executive producer Marc Fiore told TMZ that “it just didn’t work for me,” adding that he wanted Lindsay to play Victoria but “I will only ride a merry-go-round with my kids,” which meant that the starlet’s team was just too tough to deal with.
But apparently, Lindsay was insistent. She really wanted to appear in the film so she approached the producer personally. Fiore then gave her the role of Kim Gotti, John Gotti Jr.’s wife and the Teflon Don’s daughter-in-law. The role was once considered for Kim Kardashian.
She was also given a role in another Fiore film called “Mob Street.”
Fiore told Us magazine in a statement, “We’re very pleased to have Lindsay on board for both these films. She has been very enthusiastic about the Gotti project, and after resuming discussions with her, we were impressed by her commitment to the film and felt she would be a perfect Kim Gotti.”
